BIOGRAPHY
I currently hold a Postdoctoral Research position at the Quantitative Social and Management Sciences Research Centre at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics. Previously, I served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Paris School of Economics under the supervision of Marc Fleurbaey. In that role, I also worked as a Policy Analyst at the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), within the Environment Directorate, and specifically at the Climate, Biodiversity and Water Division. My academic journey includes a Ph.D. in Economics from the Gordon S. Lang School of Business and Economics at the University of Guelph, Ontario, Canada, under the guidance of Professor Thanasis Stengos. Prior to this, I completed my B.A. and M.Sc. degrees at the University of Ioannina, Greece, where I am from.
My research focuses on Environmental Economics, Climate Change, Economic Growth, Air Pollution, Recycling, and Energy. I have also worked as a Research Fellow at the University of Bologna, Italy, working under the "Drive 0" program for the European Commission for the academic year 2021-2022, with an extension through the Fall semester of 2022. I have presented my research at various international conferences and workshops, such as the Canadian Economics Association (CEA), the RCEA (University of Waterloo), etc. I have received multiple awards and scholarships for my research, including the International Doctoral Tuition Scholarship and the Graduate Scholarship in Economics.
During my P.hD. I served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant (GTA) and Graduate Research Assistant (GRA) for various economic courses and research projects. In the Fall semester of 2021, I was appointed as a Sessional Lecturer at the University of Guelph where I taught Economic Statistics to second-year students across multiple terms, including Fall 2021, Summer 2022, and Winter 2023.
